The CPU is the central processing unit in your dedicated server. As the name suggests, its core is the heart of the processor, it's the bit that does the heavy lifting.

Dual-core processors

Some CPUs have more than one core – this significantly increases the available processing power. A dual-core processor has two cores, and is effectively like getting two processors in one.

Which one?

Our entry-level dedicated server, 123Serv, comes with a single core. It has more than enough power for more basic applications and websites.

Our 123Serv Plus dedicated server comes with a dual-core processor. We recommended this if you plan to host demanding applications like complex database-driven websites.
