Probably. If the domain is already registered with 123-reg, and you're not currently using it with another one of our services, you can add it to your new Ecommerce package when you order.

If your domain is hosted with another company, you can probably transfer it to us to use with our services. However, please check with your current domain provider, as some companies won't let you do this.

If you're planning to transfer in a domain to use with your new Ecommerce package, you need to transfer the domain first, and let the transfer complete before you buy the Ecommerce package.

No. Our InstantTraffic service is not compatible with Ecommerce.

Yes. Our free Google Analytics Automation service lets you use Google Analytics to see how visitors use your ecommerce website. Find out about the service.

We take security really seriously and do everything we can to keep our systems safe from hacking, crashes, hardware failures and physical damage. All servers are in our own highly secure, IBM-built data centre (which itself is in a super-secret location).

Access to servers is tightly controlled and limited to essential personnel (if you're not on the list, you don't get in). In normal operation, power is drawn from the power grid but we operate uninterruptible supplies and have on-site generators, in case the external supply fails.

So, in short: Ecommerce is very secure and so are your ecommerce websites.

Although we take as many precautions as we can to keep your data safe, we do recommend you keep a backup of your own Ecommerce system.

Backups don't just protect you against a failure of our systems (unlikely), but also against problems caused by any changes you make.

No. Aside from the regular monthly cost, there are no extra charges for anything with Ecommerce. The service includes all the space and bandwidth you need for your ecommerce site to run smoothly.

As before, there are a couple of small exceptions to this. Package One doesn't include a free domain. You do need a domain to use Ecommerce, so that's the one thing you might have to buy separately. You can get them here.)

Additionally, some of the features available in Ecommerce involve integration with third-party services (like eBay). Some of these providers might charge for this - it's out of our control if they do.

The minimum contract is one year. However, if you buy for two years upfront, you may qualify for a bigger discount - it's our way of saying thanks for your business.
