Use with any subdomain

Wildcard SSL costs extra, because it allows you to use your SSL certificate with any subdomains you want to.

(A subdomain is a domain which is part of your main domain name. For instance, mail.yourdomain.com and secure.yourdomain.com would both be subdomains.)

Wildcard SSL lets you use your SSL certificate with as many subdomains as you want.
