I cannot access my FTP account. How do I reset my password?

This article explains how to reset the FTP access password for a hosting account.

Login to your 123-reg control panel.

Scroll down to the Dedicated servers section, select the relevant domain name from the drop down box and click on the manage button.

Click on the Log in to server link.

Click on the Accounts tab.

Click on the edit link next to the desired account.

Click on the Change Pass link.

The resulting page allows you to change your main account password. This is the password you use to upload files and login to the control panel.

Enter your new password and then click on the Change Password button to update your FTP account password.

Please note: Customers who have installed Microsoft FrontPage extensions to their hosting account will automatically have FTP access to their account disabled. Using regular FTP can corrupt the extensions, disabling the functionality of the FrontPage web and requiring that the site be deleted to reinstall the extensions.
