Transferring a .uk domain to 123-reg.co.uk
Firstly, you need to contact your current provider and ask them to change the IPS tag to 123-REG. Some providers will do this through a control panel, but others will need a fax, email or letter to carry out the change.
Go to http://www.123-reg.co.uk and type your domain name into the Domain Search Box, click on the transfer button.
Select your Domain name from the list, then click on the Transfer button.
Your domain name will now be added to the basket, click on the Checkout button to continue.
You will now review your basket, click on the Continue button to proceed.
Confirm that you are the owner and allowed to transfer the domain name then click on Continue button.
If already a customer enter your login details and press the Log me in button, if not fill in your details.
Then follow the on-screen instructions.
Checking the status of your transfer
To check the status of a domain transfer please see How do I check the status of my domain transfers?
Tip: After the IPS tag has been changed and you've initiated the transfer in your 123-reg control panel, the domain will automatically transfer to your 123-reg account.
