How do I modify the contact information for my domain name?

This article will show you how to modify the contact information associated with your domain name.

Please note: for UK domains and gTLDs (i.e. .com, .org, .net, etc) you’ll need to make sure that your domain isn’t locked. In addition to this, if you have an older version of our Domain Ownership Protection service (purchased before August 2023) in place on your domain, you may need to disable this service. For details on how to do this, please read the following articles:

If, however, you have our current Domain Ownership Protection service (purchased after August 2023) assigned to your domain, please continue reading.

Step 1 of 7

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

Step 2 of 7

Next, select Manage All opposite Domains within the ‘All Products and Services’ section.

Step 3 of 7

You will now see a complete list of your purchased domain names. Select which one(s) you wish to update from the provided list by clicking the checkbox next to them.

If you can’t find your domain in this list, you may be able to find it on the Domain Name Overview page within our legacy Control Panel. For more details on this, please read the following article: How do I access and manage my products?

Select Tickbox

Step 4 of 7

If you’re using our current Control Panel, click Contact info in the bar that appears below. If you can’t see this option, click More instead and you will find it within the menu that appears.

If you’re using our legacy Control Panel, click Contact details under Domain basics.

Step 5 of 7

Depending on which platform you’re using, you will be taken to a new page or shown a pop-up window that will feature all your details.

Make the necessary changes and then click Continue or Update to save them.

Step 6 of 7

If you’ve enabled Domain Ownership Protection on your domain, you will need to verify your identity. This can be done via 2-Step Verification or by entering the one-time password that will be sent to your email address.

Enter your code into the provided field and click Verify.

Step 7 of 7

After a few moments, you will see a confirmation message saying that your details have been updated.

Please note: for .uk domains, you will only be able to amend the postal address, telephone number and email address associated with the domain. If you wish to change the Registrant or Organisation Name for your domain name, please contact our Support team.

Similarly, for .be and .fr domains, you’ll need to contact our Support team and inform them of the details you wish to change. They will then be able to submit your changes for you.

For .eu domains, you will be able to edit and change any of the details associated with them.

For .es domains, you’ll need to contact the .es domain registry. Instructions on how to modify the contact details of your .es domain name can be found on the following page.
