Microsoft provide two ways that you can verify your domain for use with their email and web services;
- A CNAME Record
- A TXT Record

How to add a CNAME record

In the Domain names section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down list and click on the Manage button.

Scroll down to the Advanced Domain Settings section and click on the Manage DNS (A, MX, CNAME, TXT) link.

From the Advanced DNS tab.

Select CNAME from the Type drop down list in the Add new entry section.

In the Hostname field enter the record name provided by Microsoft i.e ms74532832.

In the Destination CNAME field enter ps.microsoftonline.com. as provided by Microsoft.

Click on the Add new entry button to save the new record.
How to add a TXT record

In the Domain names section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down list and click on the Manage button.

Scroll down to the Advanced Domain Settings section and click on the Manage DNS (A, MX, CNAME, TXT) link.

From the Advanced DNS tab.

Select TXT/SPF from the Type drop down list in the Add new entry section.

In the Hostname field enter an @ symbol.

In the Destination TXT/SPF field enter the record provided by Microsoft i.e. v=verifydomain MS=ms74532832.

Click on the Add new entry button to save the new record.
