How do I add Google DNS verification to my domain name?

This article will explain how you can verify your domain name with Google's webmaster tools using your DNS.

Click on the Add a site... button.

Type in the Domain name and click on the Continue button.

Select Add a DNS record to your domain's configuration from the options.

Select Other from the drop down list to display the verification code.

In the Domain names section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down list and click on the Manage button.

Click on the Manage DNS option.

Scroll down to the A, CNAME and TXT records section and set up your DNS records as follows:

  • Name: @
  • Type: TXT
  • Content: The Google verification code for example:
