You can now choose between using IMAP or POP

First you must decide whether you would like to use the POP3 or IMAP email protocol.

POP3 is the standard protocol for receiving email from a mail server and it allows you to download all of your emails to one location.

IMAP is best if you access your email from multiple locations, clients and devices as it doesn't require downloading of your email content. We recommend using IMAP settings on Windows Live because if anything were to happen to your computer or mobile device, you would still be able to access your emails.

To find out more about the POP3 and IMAP protocols, watch the following support video.

Once selected enter the Incoming mail server hostname as either:

  • POP.123-reg.co.uk
  • IMAP.123-reg.co.uk

The username should be your email address

The password should be your email address password

8

Now enter the details for your outgoing mail server which should be:

SMTP.123-reg.co.uk

The username should be your email address

The password should be your email address password

Please note: Please ensure that you enter your mailbox details in both the incoming and outgoing server fields in order to send and receive email on your client.

9

You can now select options to sync and then click the Save button

10

You will now see your 123-mail account in the Accounts list

11

If you now launch your mail app you will see the 123-mail mailbox and inside will be your emails.
