How do I reissue my Gen 1 SSL certificate?

This article will explain how to reissue your Generation 1 SSL Certificate.

Please note: this process only applies to SSL certificates purchased before December 2021.

Furthermore, the CSR you use during this process will need to have the exact same details as the old CSR.

Step 1 of 6

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

From there, select SSL Certificates within the ‘Manage active products’ section and then select Manage opposite Manage SSL Certificates.

This will take you to the SSL overview page, where you will see all your purchased SSL certificates.

If you haven’t already done so, select the Generation 1 tab.

From here, click Re-issue Certificate for the domain name you wish to reissue the SSL certificate for.

This will open a pop-up window where you’ll need to enter the CSR you have generated from your server. Be sure to tick the Use SHA-2 checking algorithm option as well.

Once you’ve done this, click Reissue to continue.

You will now receive a confirmation message stating that your SSL certificate has been reissued.
