How do I remove malware from my 123 Reg Plesk VPS
This article will explain how to remove malware from your 123 Reg Virtual Private Server.
Grab the Malicious Code
Access the email notification sent by Site Scanner which contains the malicious code. Alternatively, you can follow the steps below.
From there, select View Report.
On the next page, you will see any malware that the Site Scanner has identified within the Malware section.
Locate your Source Code
Log in to your Plesk Control Panel for your chosen domain.
Click on the Websites & Domains tab at the top of the control panel.
Click on your site’s Website Directory.
Click on the edit tool for the index.html file associated with your site.
This will now display the source code for your website.
Remove the Malicious Code
Once you have located your source code, find and delete the Malware code that has been highlighted by Site Scanner. To help you find the code, you can use the Control+F find function that is available in most website browsers. This will find any specific instances of the search criteria you enter, within the code.
