This article will explain how to remove malware from your 123-reg Shared Hosting.

Grab the Malicious Code

Access the email notification sent by Site Scanner which contains the malicious code

Login to your 123-reg control panel

Click on the Manage Site Scanner link from the Security Section of the Control Panel.

 Click on the View button for the package you wish to open.

 Click on the View Report button.

 The Malware section will display any Malware that Site Scanner has found in your website.

Locate your Source Code

Login to your 123-reg control panel

Click on the Manage Web Hosting link from the Web Hosting of the Control Panel. If you have more than one domain, you can select the relevant domain name from the dropdown box.

Click on the Manage link for the relevant web hosting package.

Click on the File Manager button from the Files section.

Select the file with the malicious code, then click the Edit button. 

Remove the Malicious Code

Once you have located your source code, find and delete the Malware code that has been highlighted by Site Scanner. To help you find the code, you can use the Control+F find function that is available in most website browsers. This will find any specific instances of the search criteria you enter, within the code. 

After you have made your amendments to the index.html file, click on the Save and Close button to complete your changes.
