I have uploaded my website but all I see is 'Welcome to your new 123-reg hosting'

This article applies to 123-reg Hosting packages.

This article will explain how you can edit a FTP account for your hosting package. You can edit the directory of your account and generate a new password for the account.

The 123-reg hosting package already comes with an index.html file by default. If you have uploaded your website, you will need to remove the existing index.html file to avoid having duplicate pages.

To remove the default index.html file you can do one of the following:

  • Log into your hosting server via an FTP client such as Filezilla and remove the existing index.html file.

  • Delete the file via your 123-reg online file manager:

1

Login to your 123-reg control panel.

2

Scroll down to the Web hosting section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down list and click on the Manage button.
