This article applies to Website Passport.
So that your website can be verified against the Website Passport application you will need to place a small line of code into your website homepage. Details of this code will be sent to you by GlobalSign.
Upon completing the Globalsign Passport Control requirements for a Website Passport you will receive an email from our partner GlobalSign asking you to validate your application.
The email will include a link for you to follow.
- Click the link in the verification email from GlobalSign.
- From the linked page copy the line of HTML to your computer’s clipboard.
- Using a suitable text or HTML editor open up the index page of your website to which the Website Passport is to be linked.
- Paste the contents of the clipboard into the HEAD section (i.e, NOT the body) of that page.
- Save the changes to the page and upload it to your webhosting space as normal. The automated verification robots will check for its presence.
Please Note: This HTML will not affect your website in any way. To maintain verification you should leave this text within your page during the lifetime of the Passport.
