This article will explain how to obtain and install an SSL certificate using cPanel.
Login to cPanel WHM interface.
Click on the SSL/TLS icon.
Click on the Generate a SSL Certificate and Signing Request icon.
Fill out the signing request details and then click the Create button.
You will now have created a Signing Request, Certificate and Key which you will need to use to purchase an SSL certificate.
You now need to visit the 123-reg website to order your SSL certificate.
Once on the 123-reg website choose the type of SSL certificate you wish to purchase then click on the Buy Now button.
Click on Yes and log into your 123-reg account.
Now follow these steps to order your SSL certificate
- Click the radio button for the option I have a domain name (any provider) without 123-reg web hosting.

Then confirm your package type, duration and price.
Click Next and complete your order details.
Paste the complete Signing Request created through cPanel then click Next.
Input your certificate delivery email address and then click Next.
You will now receive a 123-reg Signing request, Certificate and Key via the email address you confirmed.
Return to your cPanel WHM interface, and click on SSL/TLS, then click on Install a SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain.
Now paste the Certificate and then below that the Private Key both provided from 123-reg.
Click submit to finish installing the SSL certificate.
Your all done, your SSL certificate should now be installed as shown in the image below.
