Transferring a TLD domain to 123-reg.co.uk
Please note: that there is no facility to transfer .me - .cn - .at - .be and .es domain names to 123-reg at this time.
In order for a TLD domain to be transferred into your 123-reg account there are a few things that need to happen.
Firstly, please make sure the domain is "unlocked" or "active" by entering the domain name in the check a domain box found on our home page http://www.123-reg.co.uk/. If your domain is locked, please contact your current domain registrar to have the domain unlocked.
Next on the list is the admin email address (Shown as ADMIN-C on a whois lookup), an email has to be sent to that address with a link that is followed to authorise the transfer, you can view the current email address here, you are advised to make sure this is correct before initiating a transfer. Most providers will allow you to update this yourself online, though some will need you to email or fax them to get this done.
To check the domain’s current registrar and admin contact email address, enter the domain name in the check a domain box found on our home page http://www.123-reg.co.uk/, or visit www.allwhois.com.
Lastly you will require the authorisation code for your domain name, this is a unique code to your domain supplied by your current registrar, they will only let you know this, who in turn lets us, so when transfer request is processed and the code is entered check it is correct.
Please note: Top Level Domains names that are newer that 60 days or within 7 of entering redemption can not be transferred in or out of 123-reg.
