How to rebuild your 123 Reg VPS

This article will show you how to rebuild your Virtual Private Server via your 123 Reg Control Panel.

Since this process differs depending on which version of our Virtual Private Server you have, please select your version from the list below and follow the provided steps to get started.

Current Generation

Please note: this is an irreversible process that will erase all your server’s content, including any backups.

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

Step 2 of 5

Next, select Servers within the ‘All Products and Services’ section.

Click Manage opposite the VPS you want to rebuild.

Step 4 of 5

You will now be taken to your dashboard. From here, click Server Actions in the top-right corner, followed by Rebuild Server.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. Once you’ve done this, you can set up your VPS as usual.

Start by logging in to your legacy Control Panel. For details on how to do this, please read the following article: How do I access and manage my products?

From there, select Virtual Private Servers (VPS) within the ‘Manage active products’ section and then select Manage opposite Manage Virtual Private Servers (VPS).

Click Manage opposite the VPS you want to rebuild.

This will take you to the VPS management control panel. Select the Console tab from the options at the top of the window.

  • You will see the VPS Status, Change State, and Rebuild VPS sections of the control panel. Click on  the Rebuild button to begin your VPS’s rebuild process. You will be asked to confirm that you would like to rebuild your server, as this will delete your data and cannot be undone.

Please note: The rebuild process can take up to one hour to complete.
