How do I manage a mySQL database?

This article applies to Dedicated Servers.

This article explains how to make changes to and control a mySQL database through the hosting control panel.

Once mySQL has been installed to a hosting account, control over the database is possible using the integrated mySQL Administrator tool.

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

From there, select Dedicated Servers within the ‘Manage active products’ section and then select Manage opposite Manage Dedicated Servers.

You will now be taken to a new page displaying all your purchased packages. From here, click Login to Server CP.

Enter your login details into the provided fields and click Login.

Click on the Accounts tab.

Click on the edit link next to the desired account.

Click on the mySQL link.

Click on the mySQL Administrator link.

The resulting page will display a list of existing tables and records within the mySQL database, with a number of context sensitive options in order to control the information held within it.
