Giving up your domains

This article applies to 123-reg Domain names.

This article will show you how to set your domain name to expire at the end of the current billing period, meaning the domain name can no longer auto renew.

How do I allow my domain(s) to expire?

You can cancel your domain names directly from your Control Panel by clicking here.

Or you can follow the procedure below:

Login to your 123-reg control panel.

Go to the Domain names section.

Click Manage domain auto renewal, just below the Domain renewals link.

The Domain Cancellation page will show list of domain names registered within this account.

If you have more domain names which are due to expire, select each domain, then click on the Next Step button.

Click on the Confirm Domain Cancellation button.

Please note: Failure to set a domain to not renew before the payment date will result it automatic renewal and thus the transaction cannot be refunded.

Please note: If you make payment via direct debit the request for payment may be made before the due date, so please check this when allowing your domain to expire.
