This FAQ will help you manage the renewal periods on your domain names, as well as managing the auto renewal function.

123-reg will automatically renew your domain names for the same period that there were last purchased/renewed for unless you tell us otherwise. In each case we'll send you a reminder that the domain name is due for renewal. This reminder will be sent to your main contact email address, as listed in your personal information.

Please note: Domains purchased through or transferred to 123-reg before 1 May 2012 will automatically renew for a period of two years.

The provisions of this clause will not apply to situations where You renew the domain manually through your control panel for a new or extended term. https://www.123-reg.co.uk/terms/domain-registration-renewal-and-refund-agreement.shtml

You will be able to renew your Domain Names and change the renewal period by following the instructions listed below.

Please note: This article does not apply to .at domain names. For information on renewal/expiry of .at domain names, please see .at domain name renewals/expiry.

Your domains and hosting will be renewed in line with the payment priorities stored on your 123-reg Account. Find out how to view and change your payment priorities.

Important: .eu domain names must be renewed 1 day before expiration. If they are left until the day of expiration, they will enter a quarantine status and incur a fee of £75+VAT in addition to the renewal fee in order to retrieve the domain.
