How to change shipping methods for my Online Store

This article will show you how to customise your delivery and shipping options within Online Store.

Since this process differs depending on which version of Online Store you have, please select your version from the list below and follow the instructions provided to get started:

If you’re not sure which version of Online Store you have, you can find out by reading this article.

Version 9

Step 1 of 7

Start by logging in to your Online Store.

Step 2 of 7

From there, click Website Builder in the top-left corner and select Dashboard from the list of options.

Step 3 of 7

Select Settings in the toolbar and then choose Shipping.

Step 4 of 7

You will now be given several types of delivery methods to choose from. To create an international shipping method, click Add Shipping. Alternatively, you can click Add opposite ‘Local Delivery’ and ‘In-Person Pickup’.

Step 5 of 7

If you’ve gone for an international shipping option, you’ll need to choose which type of shipping rate you’d like to use by clicking Add opposite your preferred option. This includes:

  1. Free Shipping: offer free delivery should their order reach a specific total.
  2. Flat Rate / Percentage Per Order: charge a flat rate or percentage of the order in total, especially useful for if you sell items in bulk.
  3. Weight-Based: based on how much the order weighs.

If you’ve chosen a Local Delivery or In-Person Pickup instead, proceed to the next step.

Step 6 of 7

On the next page, give your shipping method a name so that customers will know what to expect from this delivery method. You’ll also need to complete any other necessary fields that are relevant to your shipping method, such as ‘Offer free shipping once order total reaches’, ‘Weight’ or ‘Charge per order’.

You can also state which countries and regions you want to send products to. By default, this will be set to ‘All countries/regions’.

Step 7 of 7

Once you’re happy with everything, click Save to confirm your shipping method.

Version 8

Step 1 of 7

From the store management panel, click on Shipping & Pickup – then ensure that you have also selected the Shipping & Pickup sub option.

Step 7 of 7

Finally, name your shipping method and click Save and Finish. The shipping method name is for internal use only, so you can name it something memorable that you don’t have to worry about your customers seeing.
