How can I install an SSL Certificate using Plesk?

This article applies to 123 Reg servers running Plesk.

This article will explain how you can install an SSL Certificate using Plesk.

Since this process differs depending on which version of Plesk you have, please select your version from the list below and follow the provided instructions to get started.

Please note: this article was originally created for our previous generation of Virtual Private Servers. As such, these instructions may not be relevant to our current generation of Virtual Private Servers.

Log in to your Parallels Plesk Panel.

Click on the Tools & Settings link on the left panel.

Click on the SSL Certificates icon.

Click on the Add SSL Certificate button.

Enter a name for your SSL.

Step 6 of 8

Fill in your SSL details and click on the Request button to generate your CSR.

Click on the SSL name.

Scroll down the page to obtain your CSR for your SSL certificate.

Buying SSL using CSR

You will need to purchase your SL Certificate using the CSR generated via Plesk in the step above.

Installing SSL in Plesk

To install your newly purchased SSL certificate via Plesk, please follow the below instructions:

On your Parallels Plesk Panel:

Click on the Tools & Settings link on the left panel.

Click on the SSL Certificates icon.

Click on the SSL name.

Step 4 of 4

Scroll down and enter the Certificate and CA certificate in the provided boxes. Then, click on the Send Text button.

Your certificate will now be installed on Plesk.

How to check SSL support is enabled via Plesk

Click on the Domains link on the left panel.

Click on the Manage hosting link next to the relevant domain name.

Click on the Websites and domains tab.

Scroll down and click on the relevant domain name.

Under the Security section, click on the tick box for Enable SSL support.

Scroll down and click on the OK button.

Your SSL certificate will now be fully installed and enabled on your VPS.
