How do I administer Microsoft SQL Server within Plesk?

This article applies to 123-reg Windows VPS hosting running Plesk

This article will explain how to administer Microsoft SQL within Plesk.

Please note: You must have purchased Power pack and updated your product key before you can use Microsoft SQL.

Login to your Plesk panel.

Click on the Subscriptions link under the Hosting Services section.

Click on the Open in Control Panel link for the subscription you wish to add, edit or delete or access a MSSQL database on.

Click on the Websites & Domains tab.

Click on the Databases option.

Now create a new database by clicking on the Add New Database button.

Make sure to select type as Microsoft SQL Server and the Database server is set to the default for MS SQL. When finished click the OK button.

Now click on the Add New Database User button to add a user.

Enter a User Name and Password, then click on the OK button.

You can now click on the Webadmin button to login to the database editor.
