How do I set up the time out options for Remote Desktop Connections?

This article explains how to change the timeout settings for Windows remote desktop connection on your 123 Reg Windows server.

Please note: this article was originally created for our previous generation of Virtual Private Servers. As such, these instructions may not be relevant to our current generation of Virtual Private Servers.

Use remote desktop connection when you connect to your Windows server.

Now login to your Windows server.

Click on the Start button to begin.

Now click on the All Programs button located in the lower side of the menu.

Click on the Administrative Tools from the menu that appears on the screen.

Now click on the Remote Desktop Services menu.

Choose Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration from the menu and click on it.

Open the connection properties by double clicking on the RDP-Tcp Connection.

Now click on the Sessions tab.

Click the two Tick boxes next to Override user settings.

  • Now just select the session limits and click on the OK button to save the settings.

 

You’re done! Now you can close the Terminal Services Configuration window.
