How to set up email on Android?

This FAQ will help you to set up your mailbox on Android.

The below video and step by step instructions will help you learn how to add a mailbox on a Android device.




Please note: You can use the below steps to set up any mailbox. You will however need to use your providers details when we mention ours.

Open the Email app on your Android device.

Please note: You can now choose between using POP3 or IMAP. To find out more about these protocols check out this FAQ.

Select either POP3 or IMAP and click on the Next button.

Enter your email address as the username.

Your email address password as the password

imap.123-reg.co.uk or pop.123-reg.co.uk as the server

The security type should be SSL / TLS and make sure the port is set to 993 for IMAP and 995 for POP3.

Once these settings have been entered click on the Next button.

Now enter smtp.123-reg.co.uk as the SMTP server.

Set the security type as SSL/TLS and make sure the port is set to 465.

Tick the box Require sign-in and then enter your email address as the username and email address password as the password.

Once you have entered these settings click on the Next button.

You can now choose the account options you wish to set.

Once you are happy with your selection click on the Next button.

You can now give your account a preferred name if you wish, once this is done click on the Next button.

That's it, your mailbox is all set up and ready to start sending and receiving email.
