How do I activate my free SSL certificate?

This process applies to our Web Hosting and Premium Hosting plans.

Your free SSL certificate will be automatically activated once you’ve assigned a primary domain to your Hosting package. This will be the domain you selected during the initial set up and onboarding process, as outlined in the following Support article: How do I set up my Linux Hosting account?

From there, AutoSSL will automatically attempt to install a new certificate onto any domains that are added to your account, including addon domains and subdomains. All you need to do is to make sure that your DNS points to your Hosting IP address to ensure the domain is validated properly.

Simply click on a title below to skip to the most appropriate FAQ. You can also click the Top button to return and make another selection.

What happens if I reset my hosting package?

If you reset your Hosting package, your certificate will be automatically re-issued to you so that you may re-activate it.
