Generate a CSR: Cobalt RaQ4/XTR

To generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR), please do the following:

To enable SSL on a virtual site

  • Step 1 of 6

    Go to the Server Management screen.

  • Step 2 of 6

    Click the green icon (Wrench for RaQ4, Pencil for XTR) next to the virtual site on which you want to enable SSL. The Site Management screen will appear.

  • Step 3 of 6

    Click Site Settings on the left side.

  • Step 4 of 6

    Click General for XTR.

  • Step 5 of 6

    Click the check box next to Enable SSL.

  • Step 6 of 6

    Click Save Changes.

Generate a self-signed certificate

Once SSL security is enabled, you must now create a self-signed certificate:

  • Step 1 of 9

    Go to the Server Management screen.

  • Step 2 of 9

    Click the green icon (Wrench for RaQ4, Pencil for XTR) next to the SSL enabled virtual site.

  • Step 3 of 9

    Click SSL Settings on the left side.

  • Step 4 of 9

    The Certificate Subject Information table appears.

  • Step 5 of 9

    Fill in the following information:

    • Country [AU]:
    • State:
    • Locality:
    • Organization:
    • Organizational Unit:
  • Step 6 of 9

    Select Generate self-signed certificate from the pull-down menu at the bottom of the screen.

  • Step 7 of 9

    Click Save Changes.

  • Step 8 of 9

    The RaQ4/XTR processes the information and regenerates the screen with the new self-signed certificate in the Certificate Request and Certificate windows.

  • Step 9 of 9

    Copy the entire contents of the CSR, insuring to include:

    -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----

    and

    -----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-------
