How do I install a 123-App on my Windows hosting?

This article applies to 123-reg Windows Hosting packages.

To install a 123-App to your 123-reg windows hosting package, please do the following:

Login to your 123-reg control panel.

Scroll down to the Web hosting section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down box and click on the Manage button.

Click on the 123-Apps option.

Click on the text that says “It’s easy to try a new application with 123-Apps”.

Click on the relevant Install link for the application you wish to install.

You will then be required to agree to 123-reg’s and the application’s terms of service and then click on the Next button.

Select the relevant domain name from the drop down box and provide the folder name you want the application installed to in the empty box provided.

Click on the Next button.

We will set up your database for you, please provide the password you want to give the database in the relevant box and click on the Next button.

You will then be required to provide a master password for the application, however some applications will need more information dependent upon the application you are installing. Provide the relevant information and click on the “Next” button.

Select whether you want the application to be default on your website, Click on the Next button.

Please note: If you wish to make your chosen application the default homepage for your site, please check the Set as default application box. This will result in the installed application being located at your root URL, for example www.mydomain.com.

Warning: If you decide to check this box any current .htaccess file will be permanently overwritten.

Click on the Install button.
