How do I add 302 (Temporary) Web forwarding?

This article will explain how you can add a 302 (Temporary) Web forwarding to your domain name.

Please Note: It will take between 24 - 48 hours for the new DNS records to become active.

Firstly, you need to ensure your domain is pointed to our nameservers:

  • ns.123-reg.co.uk
  • ns2.123-reg.co.uk

If the domain is not pointed to the 123-reg nameservers, you will be unable to manage them from the 123-reg control panel.

Secondly, you will need to point your domain name to the Web forwarding IP address. To see how, please view the following article:

Login to your 123-reg control panel.

Scroll down to the Domain names section and click on the Web forwarding icon.

Click on the Add button next to the relevant domain name.

Click on the Temporary forwarding tab.

Select the type of forwarding from the following:

  • Framed web forwarding
  • Non-framed web forwarding

Enter a domain name that you would like to forward to.

Click on the Confirm button.

Please Note: You will need to allow up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to take effect.
