How do I upload pictures to my products using a CSV file?

This article applies to eCommerce.

This article will explain how to upload pictures to your products using a CSV file.

Login to your 123-reg Control Panel then scroll down to the eCommerce section and login.

Click on the Content/Categories button in the toolbar.

Click on the File Manager option under the Content/Categories tab.

Click on Create new folder.

Then input the folder name Import and click Save

Please Note: The folder name is case sensitive

Click on Upload Files.

Then click on the Upload files... button.

Select the pictures you wish to upload.

Click on the Upload files button

Then click on Close

Click on the Products button in the toolbar.

Click on the Import and Export option under the Products tab.

Click on the Export button this will save your product details into a .CSV file.

Save the file and open

 Export.jpg

Please Note: It is best to use the free spreadsheet program LibreOffice Calc to open this program as Microsoft Excel may cause encoding problems.

Enter the image path directory into the ImageLarge and ImagesSlideShowString columns of the spreadsheet.

These are located in columns AZ and BB.

Please Note: Make sure to include the picture's file extension e.g .jpg or .gif when entering the pictures path directory as well as the folder name Import/

e.g.Import/yourpicturesnamehere.jpg

Also note that the picture's path directory is case sensitive.

Save the changes

Go back to the Import and Export feature of your eCommerce package and click the Select file... button.

Select the CSV file you have just updated with picture content and click the Import button.

You will receive the message Data import completed successfully. showing that you have completed the process.

Make sure to delete the pictures from the file manager to free up space for future uploads.

Please Note: Deleting these images will not affect your product matching up to any pictures.
