The 123-reg hosting package already comes with an index.html file by default. If you have uploaded your website, you will need to remove the existing index.html file to avoid having duplicate pages.
To remove the default index.html file you can do one of the following:

Scroll down to the Web hosting section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down list and click on the Manage button.

Click on the File Manager option.

Click on the default index.html file and click on the Delete file option under the File and Folder Tasks section.

Click on the OK button.
