This article applies to 123-reg Shared Hosting packages.
This article explains how to use the Domain Mapping feature to map a 123-reg domain name to a 123-reg hosting package.
Scroll down to the Web Hosting section and click the Manage web hosting link.
Click on the Domain Mapping link.
Click on the Add Mapping link.
Use the drop down menus to make a selection for each of the following fields:
- Domain Name
- Hosting Plan
- Mapping Location
The Mapping Location is a directory or folder which is stored inside your hosting space.
You may want to map a domain to a folder called blog so when someone types your domain into the browser the domain automatically directs to the folder where you have uploaded the files for your blog page.
www.domain1.co.uk - 123-reg hosting package
www.domain2.co.uk mapped to www.domain1.co.uk/blog
Then click on the Add button.
Please wait whilst the mapping is added to our systems, you will receive the below message indicating it was successfully added.
Please ensure your domain is pointing to your 123-reg hosting.
