Enable or disable 2-step verification for your 123 Reg account

Note for Guides: All identity verification troubleshooting is in Troubleshoot: 2-step verification.

To enhance your account security, you can require 2-step verification every time you sign in to your account and for all high-risk actions (like changing your password). This makes it even more difficult for bad actors to get into your account.

Required: You must enable at least one verification method before you can enable 2-step verification.
  • In the Security page, below Enhanced Security, switch the 2-step Verification toggle to enable or disable the method. When enabled, we'll prompt you to use your default verification method to confirm your identity each time you sign in to your account or when you perform high-risk actions.

Note: Disabling 2-step verification is not the same as disabling or cancelling identity verification - the steps to disable or cancel an identity verification method are different. When you follow these steps to disable 2-step verification, you will no longer be required to verify your identity each time you sign in to your account - but if you have enabled identity verification, we will still require identity verification for high-risk actions, or if we suspect fraudulent login attempts.
