Unlock or lock my domain
Unlock your domain before transferring it to a new registrar. Domains aren't eligible for transfer to another registrar if they're within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer, or if the domain has a 60-day transfer lock after a Change of Registrant. Locking your domain prevents transfers away from 123 Reg.
- Sign in to your 123 Reg Domain Portfolio. (Need help logging in? Find your username or password.)
- Select an individual domain to access the Domain Settings page.
- Under the Transfer section, switch the toggle to your preferred setting.
- On: The domain is currently locked and is not eligible for transfer away from 123 Reg.
- Off: The domain is currently unlocked and is eligible for transfer away from 123 Reg.
- Your changes will be saved automatically.
- Domains with Domain Protection require additional identity verification. If you've had 2-step verification (2SV) turned on for at least 24 hours, enter the code we sent via SMS, or enter the code from your authenticator app. Otherwise, enter the one-time password we sent to the email address on your 123 Reg account.
It can take up to 90 minutes for your changes to be reflected in your account.
