Giving up your domains

This article will show you how to prevent your domain names from auto-renewing.

The below instructions will show you how you can disable auto-renewal. This can be reversed at any time before expiry if you decide that you’d like to keep your domain names.

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

Next, select Manage All opposite Domains within the ‘All Products and Services’ section.

You will now see a complete list of your purchased domain names. Select which one(s) you wish to update from the provided list by clicking the checkbox next to them.

If you can’t find your domain in this list, you may be able to find it on the Domain Name Overview page within our legacy Control Panel. For more details on this, please read the following article: How do I access and manage my products?

If you’re using our current Control Panel, click Auto-renew in the bar that appears below, followed by Turn Auto-renew off. If you can’t see this option, click More instead and you will find it within the menu that appears.

If you’re using our legacy Control Panel, click Manage opposite Domains auto-renewals. the auto renew toggle to complete this process.

If you’re using our current Control Panel, a pop-up window will now appear, asking you to confirm your choice. Click Continue.

If you’re using our legacy Control Panel, you will be taken to the Domain renewal settings page, where you can choose the auto-renewal status of your Domain Names. From here, click the toggle for Auto-renew to disable this feature. You won’t need to do anything else.

After a few moments, you will see a confirmation message informing you that the auto-renew status of your domain(s) has been updated.
