How do I enter the authorisation code for my domain transfer?

This article will show you how and where to enter the authorisation code for your domain transfer.

Authorisation codes play an important role when transferring domains between providers. For details on where to find this code, please read the following article: How do I obtain the authorisation/EPP code for my domain name?

Once you’ve done this, follow the instructions outlined below to complete the process.

Important: this article does not apply to Nominet TLDs, such as .uk, .co.uk, .wales and .cymru, as you will need to enter an IPS tag instead. Please read the following article for details on how to do this: How do I change the IPS Tag on my domain name?

You will not be able to transfer domains that have been purchased or transferred in the last 60 days, along with domains that are locked or currently in the redemption period.

Please note: this article was originally created for our current Control Panel. As such, the steps outlined below may not be relevant for domain transfers initiated before September 2023.
