How do I import contacts into Webmail?
The below step by step instructions will help you learn how to import your contacts via a CSV file or by vCards.
Rather than add each of your existing contacts into your Webmail one by one, you can import all of them at once by following the steps outlined below:
Start by logging in to your Webmail.
From there, click the Apps icon in the top-left corner (Generation 2 mailboxes only) or the Menu icon in the top right-hand corner (Generation 1 mailboxes only), and then choose Address Book from the provided options.
This will take you to the Address Book page. Select the Menu icon that appears alongside Contacts (represented by the three bars) and choose Import from the provided drop-down menu.
A pop-up window will now appear, asking how you wish to import your contacts. Choose your preferred options from the provided drop-down menu.
A CSV file stands for Comma Separated Values file. This is a list of data each separated by commas, which is where the name comes from. They are typically standard spreadsheet files, with a .csv extension.
A vCard is a file format, commonly known as electronic business cards. They allow you to share contact information across the Internet and via Email. They can contain name and address information, phone numbers, email addresses and URLs.
Once you’ve chosen your preferred option, click Upload File to and find the contact file you have stored on your computer.
Once you have selected your file, you will see it listed next to the Upload File button.
Click Import to complete the process. Your new contacts will now be added to your address book.
