How to modify your mailbox quota
To ensure that you don’t experience any issues with your mailbox, there are multiple ways for you to adjust your mailbox quota.
One way to do this is by removing mailboxes from your account that you no longer need. Alternatively, you can increase your quota by purchasing additional mailboxes for your account. From there, you can either create a new mailbox or upgrade an existing mailbox.
This guide will detail exactly how you can perform these actions.
Please note: you have 14 days from when you received your ‘Mailbox over quota’ email to amend your mailbox quota.
Remove mailboxes from your account
Please note: deleting a mailbox will also delete all the stored emails and other data associated with the account. This is an irreversible operation, so make sure that you have retrieved everything you need off the account, and that you are sure you want to delete the mailbox.
Start by logging in to your 123 Reg control panel. From there, scroll down to the Email section and select Manage email.
Select the Options menu for the mailbox that you wish to delete and select Delete Address from the drop-down menu that appears.
You can also delete multiple addresses by selecting the tick boxes for the mailboxes you wish to delete. From there, click the ‘Delete selected’ box above.
In both cases, a pop-up window will appear asking if you wish to delete this address. Click Save & Exit to confirm this.
Add mailboxes to your account
Start by logging in to your 123 Reg control panel.
You’ll need to purchase the mailbox that you wish to set up. If you’ve already done this, skip to Step 5.
If you haven’t done this, visit our Email Hosting page and browse the plans we have available. Once you’ve decided upon a plan, click the Buy button.
On the next page, you’ll be able to select how many mailboxes you’d like to purchase. Once done, click Continue to proceed.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the checkout.
Once you’ve purchased your new mailboxes, access your 123 Reg control panel. Scroll down to the Email section and select Manage email.
On this page, you’ll see the number of mailboxes you have available for each plan, including the one you’ve just purchased.
To create a new mailbox, you’ll need to click the Create tab and select Mailbox from the drop-down menu that appears.
Fill in the email address name and password, and make sure that you select the correct package type from the Package field. Once done, click Save & Exit to create your new mailbox.
Upgrade an existing mailbox
Start by logging in to your 123 Reg control panel.
In order to upgrade an existing mailbox, you’ll need to purchase the higher tier that you wish to upgrade that mailbox to. If you’ve already done this, skip to Step 5.
If you haven’t done this, visit our Email Hosting page and browse the plans we have available. Once you’ve decided upon a plan, click the Buy button.
On the next page, you’ll be able to select how many mailboxes you’d like to purchase. Once done, click Continue to proceed.

To upgrade one of your existing mailboxes, select the Options tab for your mailbox and click Manage Type from the drop-down menu that appears.
From the Manage add-ons pop-up, select the plan you wish to upgrade your mailbox to. Once done, click Upgrade.
