How do I set up a staging site?

This article will show you how to create and manage your own staging site.

One of the great benefits of Managed WordPress is the ability to set up your own staging site. Think of it as a test version of your site, where you can edit or add any new features without any of it affecting your live website. These instructions will detail how you can do this:

Please note: this service is only available with Managed WordPress packages purchased after January 2021.

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel. Under the Manage Active Products section, select your Managed WordPress package from the drop-down menu and click Manage.

On the next page, select Manage opposite the product name.

This will take you to an overview page of all your purchased Managed WordPress packages. Select the button for your plan and select Settings from the drop-down menu that appears.

On the next page, select Create within the Staging Site section.

After a few moments, your staging site will be ready for you to access.
