How do I manually install an SSL certificate on my cPanel hosting package?

This article will show you how to manually install an SSL Certificate in your hosting package.

Start by accessing the dashboard for the Hosting plan you wish to edit.

Once you’ve accessed your dashboard, select cPanel Admin.

Select SSL/TLS under the Security heading.

Select Generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates under the Certificates (CRT) heading.

On the next page, select Choose file under the Upload a New Certificate heading to upload the primary certificate from your local machine – this is typically a .crt file. Once you’ve found and selected your certificate, give it a suitable description and then click Upload Certificate.

Alternatively, you can copy and paste the body of the certificate into the provided text box. Again, be sure to give it a description and then select Save Certificate.

You’ll be taken to a new page informing you that your certificate was successfully saved/uploaded. Simply select Go Back.

On the SSL Certificates page, select the Return to SSL Manager option at the bottom of the page.

Select Manage SSL Sites under the Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS) heading.

Select the Browse Certificates option under the Install an SSL Website heading.

Choose the SSL certificate you wish to activate and select Use Certificate. The fields for the certificate will be automatically populated.

Once you’ve done this, a pop-up will appear informing you that the process was successful. Simply click OK to continue.
