Understanding Hosting with cPanel
Although Web Hosting allows you to get your website online, cPanel is the graphical interface that you’ll use to access your platform’s various features.
If you need to get your website up online, you’ll need to set up cPanel with your Hosting account first.

Basic steps to using Linux hosting
- To upload your website files, you’ll need to use an FTP client such as FileZilla.
- If you don’t have a website yet, you’ll need to install a Content Management System (CMS) to create one. Luckily, we have a selection of free one-click installation apps available, including for WordPress, Joomla and SilverStripe.
- Once your website is online, make sure you set up regular backups so that you never lose any important content.
