How do I access a domain registered to an individual?

This article will explain how you can access a domain registered to an individual.

Your identity will need to be confirmed before the domain name can be moved into your account, which includes the name and address that is listed in the domain registrant’s details. Both need to be confirmed to ensure that only the legal owner of the domain name can gain access.

If our account recovery team advises you to create a new 123 Reg account, you can do this free of charge here:

The following items can be accepted as proof of identity for a domain name registered to an individual:

  • Bank Statement (dated within the last three months)
  • Utility Bill (Dated within the last three months)
  • Driving License or Passport – please be aware we will need to see the address too, so additional documentation may be required if using a Passport.

Please note: We cannot accept invoices as proof of identity.

Please send the above documentation and domain name transfer request to us through the following link.
