Using a security key to sign in
This article will show you how to sign in to your 123 Reg account using a security key.
If you’ve set up a security key as your primary 2-step verification method, you can access your account by following the instructions outlined below.
Start by logging in to your 123 Reg account.
You’ll then be prompted to plug your security key into your computer. Insert this into your USB socket and then press the main button on your key.
After a few moments, you will be logged into your account.
What should I do if I lose my security key?
Should you misplace your security key, you can use your backup method instead or follow the instructions below:
Start by logging in to your 123 Reg account.
When prompted to plug in your security key, select the option I can’t access my security key.
Choose your preferred authentication app from the provided list and install it on your mobile.
Enter the code your authentication app gives you into the provided field and click Verify.
After a few moments, you will be logged into your account.
