Using my UK driving licence to confirm my identity

This article will show you how to use the UK Driving Licence check to confirm your personal information.

From time to time, it may be necessary to perform additional checks to ensure your identity – for example, when dealing with Account Ownership.

If you have a UK Driving Licence, we can use the licence check functionality to confirm your details. If you do not own a UK driving licence and we ask you to do this check, please contact our support team.

Please note: if you are trying to access a business account, we will use Companies House to find a director and ask that the director uses his or her licence to complete the check.

Step 1 of 5

To begin the check, please visit https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence and click Start Now. You will need your Driving Licence number, National Insurance number and postcode.
