How do I administer Microsoft SQL Server within Plesk?
This article will explain how to administer Microsoft SQL within Plesk.
Please note: You must have purchased Power pack and updated your product key before you can use Microsoft SQL.
This article was originally created for our previous generation of Virtual Private Servers. As such, these instructions may not be relevant to our current generation of Virtual Private Servers.
Log in to your Plesk panel.
Click on the Subscriptions link under the Hosting Services section.
Click on the Open in Control Panel link for the subscription you wish to add, edit, delete or access a MSSQL database on.
Click on the Websites & Domains tab.
Click on the Databases option.
Now, create a new database by clicking on the Add New Database button.
Make sure to select type as Microsoft SQL Server and ensure the Database server is set to the default for MS SQL. When finished click the OK button.
Now click on the Add New Database User button to add a user.
Enter a User Name and Password, then click on the OK button.
You can now click on the Webadmin button to log in to the database editor.
