How do I reboot my VPS?

The below instructions will show you how to reboot your VPS using your 123 Reg control panel.

Please note: Rebooting your server can cause your website to go offline until the reboot is complete.

Since this process differs depending on which version of our Virtual Private Server you have, please select your version from the list below and follow the provided steps to get started.

Current Generation

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

Step 2 of 5

Next, select Servers within the ‘All Products and Services’ section.

Click Manage opposite the VPS you want to restart.

You will now be taken to your dashboard. From here, click Server Actions and then choose Restart Server.

After a few moments, your server will restart.

Previous Generation

Start by logging in to your legacy Control Panel. For details on how to do this, please read the following article: How do I access and manage my products?

From there, select Virtual Private Servers (VPS) within the ‘Manage active products’ section and then select Manage opposite Manage Virtual Private Servers (VPS).

This will show you an overview of the servers in your account. For the server you wish to reboot, click on the Manage button to the right hand side of the panel.

This will take you to the VPS management control panel. Select the Console tab from the options at the top of the window.

You will see the VPS Status, Change State, and Rebuild VPS sections of the control panel. Use the Change State section to select the Reboot option, and then click the Change State button to start the reboot.
