How to add a domain name in Plesk?

This article will explain how to add a domain name in Plesk.

Since this process differs depending on which version of Plesk you have, please select your version from the list below and follow the provided instructions to get started.

Please note: this article was originally created for our previous generation of Virtual Private Servers. As such, these instructions may not be relevant to our current generation of Virtual Private Servers.

Please Note: There are two ways to add a domain name in Plesk please choose from the relevant options below.

Customer Domains

Step 1 of 9

Click on the Customers button.

Step 2 of 9

Click the Add New Customer button.

Step 3 of 9

Enter the customers details including the domain name you wish to add.

Step 4 of 9

Click the OK button.

Please Note: You can add further domain names to a customer by completing the following steps.

Click on the Domains button.

Step 6 of 9

Click on the Control Panel link for the relevant customer.

Click on the Websites & Domains tab.

Click on the Add New Domain button.

Once finished click the OK button.

Personal Domains

Step 1 of 4

Click on the Subscriptions button.

Step 2 of 4

Click on the Add New Subscription button.

Step 3 of 4

Enter the domain name and any other requested information.

Step 4 of 4

Once completed click the OK button.

Please Note: You can add more personal domain names by following steps 1 – 6 of setting up further customer domains. Just click on the Control Panel link next to the relevant subscription instead of relevant customer in the domains section.

Now you have created a customer click on the Open in Control Panel button.

Click on the Add New Domain button.

Fill out the domain name and any other required information.

Finally click on the OK button.

Personal Domains

Click on the Subscriptions button.

Click on the Add New Subscription button.

Enter the domain name and any other requested information.

Step 4 of 4

Once completed click the OK button.

Please Note: You can add more personal domains to your personal subscription by following the same steps as adding a customer domain just enter your power user view through your subscription.
