I cannot access my FTP account. How do I reset my password?

This article applies to Dedicated Servers.

This article explains how to reset the FTP access password for a hosting account.

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

From there, select Dedicated Servers within the ‘Manage active products’ section and then select Manage opposite Manage Dedicated Servers.

You will now be taken to a new page displaying all your purchased packages. From here, click Login to Server CP.

Enter your login details into the provided fields and click Login.

Click on the Accounts tab.

Click on the edit link next to the desired account.

Click on the Change Pass link.

The resulting page allows you to change your main account password. This is the password you use to upload files and log in to the control panel.

Enter your new password and then click on the Change Password button to update your FTP account password.

Please note: Customers who have installed Microsoft FrontPage extensions to their hosting account will automatically have FTP access to their account disabled. Using regular FTP can corrupt the extensions, disabling the functionality of the FrontPage web and requiring that the site is deleted to reinstall the extensions.
