Power pack Web Presence Builder guide

This article will explain how you can build a website using Web Presence Builder on your server using Plesk 11.

Please note: this article was originally created for our previous generation of Virtual Private Servers. As such, these instructions may not be relevant to our current generation of Virtual Private Servers.

Login to your Parallels Plesk Panel.

From the power user control panel, click Launch Web Presence Builder on either the Home tab

or on the Website and domains tab

If you have several domain names on your account, select the domain name for which you want to create a site.

You will now be presented with a list of topics, you can browse through the topic categories or search by a keyword.

Click on a topic to select it

Web Presence Builder automatically populates using the information on your subscription the contact details to use on your site, for example, in the “About Us” section. You can modify this info here.

The language selection is defaulted to the language selected in your control panel, you can change this using the drop down to any other supported language. Click theSubmit and create site button to continue.

Your site is now created and the first time you enter the builder a getting started video appears if you require it.

You will see your site as visitors will see it when your site is made public and you will be able to edit everything right from this editor.

At any time you can minimize the main panel to view the created site, currently your site is made up of generic content and your pages are arranged in the default arrangement for your topic.

To restore the main panel press expand.

You can navigate through your pages by on the page links like you would if you were a visitor. To edit the content move your cursor over the section you wish to update, it will then be surrounded by a green broken line and click.

To save the change click the OK button, for more information on using the editor click here.

You can close web presence builder at any time and it will automatically save your site draft.

When your site is ready, click Publish to make it available on the internet.

Click on your domain name to see the site on the web.

You can update and edit your site at any time, you will need to republish the site in order for your visitors to view the changes by clicking the publish button.
