1. Reduce the total amount of email forwarders
Please make sure that you have 50 email forwarders in total on your 123 Reg account.

You will now be taken to the Mailbox Management page. Find the forwarding address that you wish to remove and then select the box alongside it. Once you’ve done this, click Delete selected.
A pop-up window will now appear asking if you wish to confirm your decision. Simply click Save & Exit to confirm the deletion.
2. Reduce the number of recipients for each email forwarder
Please make sure that any email forwarders you’ve set up only have 10 recipients or less.
What will happen if I don’t complete this action?
From 29th May 2023, any forwarders with more than 10 recipients will be deleted from our current platform.
Important: we will remove the ability to add more than 10 recipients to an email forwarder on 28th April 2023.

Please note: you will need to have enough quota within your 123 Reg account to create a catch-all mailbox. For details on how to do this, please read the following article: Purchasing and configuring your 123 Reg mailbox
Start by logging in to your legacy Control Panel. For details on how to do this, please read the following article: How do I access and manage my products?

A pop-up window will appear asking if you wish to delete your selected forwarder. Click Save & Exit to confirm this.

A pop-up window will now appear, where you can set up your new address. From here, make sure you click the box opposite Make this account a catch-all.
From there, you can enter details for your address, including:
- Email address: the name you wish to use for the address. Make sure that you have the correct domain selected and type in a phrase that will appear before the @ such as ‘hello’, ‘info’ or something more specific like ‘john.smith’ or ‘marketing’.
- Type: set this to Mailbox.
- Package: the Email Hosting plan that you wish to use for your mailbox. You’ll need to have purchased one of our packages first before you can use it for your mailbox.
- Password: this must be a minimum of 8 characters and should include a mixture of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers as well as special characters such as (i.e. !, #, *) to ensure maximum password strength.
Once you’ve finished, click Save & Exit to set up your mailbox.
The page will then refresh itself and your new catch-all address will be displayed, ready for you to use.
4. Ensure your mailbox passwords meet our security standards
We have found that a small subset of mailboxes use passwords that don’t meet the criteria for our new platform.
So that we can migrate these mailboxes, please make sure that all your mailboxes use a strong password that contains a mixture of lower and upper-case English letters, at least one number and at least one special character (see below for more details).
What will happen if I don’t complete this action?
You will not be able to access these affected mailboxes from 28th April 2023. Once you’ve reset your password, you can continue using your mailbox as per usual. Your mailbox will still receive any emails that are sent to it during this time.
How do I complete this action?
Please note: if you have set up your mailbox in a third-party email client such as Outlook, you will need to update its settings within these clients to incorporate your new password.

Once done, click Save & Exit to confirm your changes.
5. Check that the domain(s) associated with your mailboxes are present
We have found that a subset of mailboxes are tied to domain names that are no longer available within the respective 123 Reg account.
Please make sure that your mailbox and its associated domain both exist within the same account.
What will happen if I don’t complete this action?
We will delete these mailboxes from 19th May 2023.
How do I complete this action?
